Safe Kids Day 2017 at New Hampshire Estates!

Another Successful Safe Kids Day!

In partnership with YMCA Youth and Family Services and their Healthy Kids Day, Safe Kids Montgomery County, once again held their annual Safe Kids Day!  This year the event took place at New Hampshire Estates Elementary School.  The event included activities focused on nutrition and health, bike safety, pedestrian safety, home safety, fire safety, water safety, sports safety, and child passenger safety.  It was a great day for families to come and learn how to be healthy and safe! Thank you to all of the volunteers and the Nationwide representatives that came out and volunteered their time to make the day such a success!

The event was sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, Nationwide®, FedEx, Chevrolet, Kidde and Tide. Safe Kids Worldwide’s national events have attracted the support of celebrity heroes including Drew Barrymore, Sharon Stone, Mark and Rhea Wahlberg, Piers Morgan, and more. Around the world, a million children die each year from preventable injuries. Millions more are injured in ways that can affect them for a lifetime. In fact, preventable injuries are the number one cause of death for children in the United States. Safe Kids Day is an opportunity to raise awareness and resources to celebrate kids, prevent injuries and save lives.
